All of Arai's dirt helmets have a unique rounded chinbar shape with less protrusion, making it less likely to catch and dig in during a spill than most other designs. The overall oval form takes its cue from that of the egg, which has long been known to be an extremely-strong and efficient shape. Flow-thru ventilation system of exceptional cooling. 4 oversized (1 intake and 3 exhaust) top vents with larger controls for gloved hands; each has three-position settings for more airflow control.
Pros: Developed to allow easier access to an injured rider, cheekpads slide out easily via the integrated pull-tabs, removal much easier for trained medical technicians
Cons: expensive, replacing the shield is not that easy task, could use better field of vision, noisier
