At LRD our priority is Acceleration. Years of racing have shown us that the first 30 to 40 feet of a race is the most critical. What you gain right off the line or in the first 30 feet out of a corner will give an advantage that is hard to recover. Engines that pull hard off the bottom and mid range are most effective in acceleration. Making sure the power is close to peak 500-300 rpm before the engine peaks is the secret to good acceleration. It is hard to get a machine that has a narrow power band to accelerate as well as one with a wider power band.
Although our engines are famous for making big hp numbers we never do it at the expense of a good broad power band. LRD engines are always ported to the highest quality and accuracy standards.
