Racing on a 2 wheel motorbike is an exhilarating experience. Racing on a motorcycle can come in two main forms; motorcross and street racing. Off Road racing is done with dirt bikes. Usually 150cc or 250cc motors riding on dirt and sand. The apparel necessary to race on dirt is a motocross helmet, gloves, helmet protector, boots, jerseys, and mx pants.
To race road bike, you're going very fast on concrete. You'll need to wear a quality helmet, gloves, boots, leather pants and a leather jacket with spine reinforcements.
The leading brands of motorcross racing include Alpinestars, Fox Racing, Thor MX, O'Neal Racing, MSR Racing, Answer Racing, Shift Racing, HJC, Shoei, KBC and Nolan. The top street bike racing brands and apparel include HJC, Shoei, AGV, Joe Rocket, Icon, Alpinestars and Arai.
Getting properly suited up for a race is very important. Safety is the main consideration. More and more today, comfort and style is becoming an important factor.
Technology is also playing a key role. Today's designs and materials are helping riders suit up more comfortably without removing any of the run.
Off Road racing tracks can be found outside most metropolitan cities. Suburban America has a lot of cheap land, and many of those have been decked out for racing motorcycles. Designed with jumps, hills, valleys, and killer corners, these off road tracks will thrill any avid dirt biker.
Street racing requires going to a closed track. You can take a nice drive down the beach or up the winding hills, but danger lurks around the corner. You have the police to content with, trucks, cars, and pedestrians.
In a closed motorcycle track, you have just the track and other bikes. All the fun with lowered risk of accidents and the unknown.
